It has always been my vision to create a luxury Hair & Beauty Salon with the focus of delivering an exceptional customer experience, career growth and opportunities, culture and an environment where my team can develop their own strengths.
Since the Loulous Brand was created in 2009, we have gone from strength to strength and we have had some huge successes and wins. During this time, Loulous has flourished with the opening of the Luxurious Day Spa in 2017 to add to the Loulous experience of being able to deliver both Hair & Beauty services in one destination.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, gardening, mountain biking exploring NZ and travelling.
Alana Mayo
Day Spa & Salon Manager / Senior Spa Therapist - Currently on Maternity Leave until Feb 27
Alana has been with Loulous for 6 years & in the beauty industry for 8 years.
Alana is most passionate about Advanced Facial Treatments, Micro-needling and Relaxing Spa Treatments & nails.
My favourite thing about being a spa therapist is that I am able to create a luxurious and relaxing experience for beautiful people every day."
Alana loves reading, music, dancing, her German Sheppard - Odin and spending time with her friends and family.
Lucinda Veldsman
Senior Spa Therapist
Lucinda is an amazing Spa Therapist. She has worked in some of the top Spa's across South Africa before moving to NZ with her husband and son and has since welcomed a beautiful baby girl.
Lucinda is passionate about educating her clients on their skin health and making them look and feel beautiful as well as helping them switch off from the outside world. She has a beautiful, relaxing touch and always gives a 10/10 experience no matter what the treatment.
Lucinda has advanced training in Massage, Facials & Myofascial Release Therapy
Mel Attwood
Senior Spa Therapist
With over 10 years of experience as a Beauty Therapist, Mel has a true passion for helping clients look and feel their absolute best.
Her favourite treatments are facials, massage, and lash lifts, and she loves nothing more than seeing clients leave the spa feeling relaxed, pampered, and confident.
Mel prides herself on creating a calm, welcoming environment where every client feels cared for from the moment they walk through the door.
Outside of the treatment room, Mel treasures time with family and friends, whether it’s enjoying the beach or heading out on a hunt.
Carnie Brown
Senior Spa Therapist
Carnie has been in the beauty industry for 7 years.
She loves interacting with people and making them feel comfortable and welcomed.
She is very passionate about skin care and massage! Carnie has worked with lots of different skincare products and she has a wealth of knowledge she would love to share with you!
Carnie has a gentle soft personality, is very caring but always loves having a laugh.

Elena Eason
Senior Spa Therapist
With over 20 years of experience in the spa and wellness industry, Elena brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to Loulous Day Spa.
Having worked in leading resorts and spas, she specialises in facials, body treatments, and advanced massage techniques, including deep tissue, remedial, relaxation, bamboo poultice, myofascial release, and lymphatic drainage massage.
Outside of work, Elena loves spending time with her family, fishing, gardening, and enjoying the outdoors.
Poppy Benge
Spa Therapist
Poppy is a qualified Beauty Therapist with a genuine passion for skincare and helping others feel beautiful and confident in their own skin. She loves working alongside her clients to understand their skin concerns, achieve their skincare goals and create personalized treatments that deliver beautiful results.
With her bubbly personality and caring nature, Poppy strives to make every client feel comfortable, relaxed and truly cared for. She especially enjoys creating facial experiences that combine results-driven skincare with a little luxury and relaxation.
Outside of Loulous, you'll find Poppy keeping active at the gym & spending quality time with friends.
Christel Du Plessis
Nail Technician & Admin Assistant
Christel loves creating beautiful nails and exploring creative nail art, while continually building her skills and experience.
Currently studying to become a qualified Beauty Therapist, Christel is excited to expand her knowledge and offer an even wider range of treatments in the future.
Outside of work, Christel enjoys spending time with loved ones, watching movies, and exploring new places.
Kelly Combrinck
Day Spa Coordinator & Marketing
Kelly has been with Loulous for 6 years now as our Day Spa Coordinator. She makes sure that all of our client's are looked after when they visit and that all of our appointments run smoothly!
She is also the face behind our social media pages (Day Spa & Salon).
Kelly worked as a Hair Stylist for over 10 years and really enjoys being in and around the beauty industry.
